A few days ago, several keen-eyed fans have spotted the release date for Shadow of the Tomb Raider prior to its announcement through the source page of the game’s website. Now, Square Enix has officially confirmed the release date for the upcoming adventure of Lara Croft.

The official website for the game has now revealed that Shadow of the Tomb Raider will be released on September 14. It will arrive on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC simultaneously, which was a different approach from the previous game, which was exclusively released for the Xbox One at first, before heading to other platforms.

Square Enix also revealed that the upcoming installment of the series will be “Lara Croft’s defining moment as she becomes the Tomb Raider.” This will be the final game in Lara Croft’s origin story on how she became the badass heroine that we all know and love. Currently, not much information has been released yet, but Square Enix also said that a full reveal of the project will be available on April 27.

Furthermore, fans will also be able to access the game early at one of the planned three events by registering at the game’s official website. For the meantime, check out the latest trailer released by Square Enix for Shadow of the Tomb Raider below:
