The maligned Star Wars Battlefront II has received a new update today aptly called the Dark Tyranus Update. Today’s update brings us yet another Clone Wars era villain to do battle with, Count Dooku. Trained by Jedi Master Yoda at one time in his life, Dooku has fully embraced the dark side of the force. Dooku’s move set is based on his mastery of lightsaber dueling making him ideal for taking down other lightsaber wielding heroes. Due to this proficiency in dueling Dooku will use less stamina and have a wider guard range for blocking lightsaber attacks. The downside is Dooku will be unable to deflect incoming blaster fire.

Dooku also has three special techniques at his employ consisting of Lightning Stun (a lightning attack which throws enemies to the ground), Expose Weakness, (makes enemies more susceptible to damage), and Duelist (increases attack rate and damage output). Dooku will be available in his traditional brown caped appearance starting today with new outfits being available to unlock in the coming weeks. The last notable additions to today’s update is the inclusion of the Geonosis map for the Blast, Heroes vs Villians and Arcade Mode game types.
