TINY TINA'S WONDERLANDS Will Have Full Crossplay At Launch

Gearbox revealed today that Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands will have full crossplay across PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via the Epic Games Store. This is the first time the Borderlands franchise will offer players the ability to play with others across every platform. Gearbox also announced that crossplay will be coming to Borderlands 3 for PlayStation consoles at some point in the future.

The announcement also included a variety of other details about Wonderlands, including how split-screen co-op will work. For those players picking up the game on PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X|S, four-player local co-op will be available on a single screen, while Xbox One and PlayStation 4 owners can utilize a two-player split-screen option.

Gearbox also outlined the PC specifications players will need to run the game at both the minimum and recommended settings. Wonderlands will require a reasonably powerful rig to reach the preferred settings, including 16GB of RAM and an NVIDIA 1060 or equivalent graphics card.

Crossplay has had a difficult road on consoles, with some platform manufacturers hesitant to give access to players outside of their own ecosystem. One of the first games to break the mold on console crossplay was Epic Games’ Fortnite, which makes sense considering the close, business relationship between Epic and Gearbox.

Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands will release on March 25th, 2022, for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via the Epic Games Store. More PC marketplaces will be available later in 2022.
