Torchlight Frontiers combines the heart of the beloved Torchlight series with a shared, persistent and dynamically generated world. In true Torchlight style, players will team up with friends and devoted pets to hack and slack their way through a vibrant world, discover ancient ruins of lost civilizations and brave dungeons filled with riches and dangerous creatures.

Torchlight Frontiers, which is the upcoming entry in the Torchlight franchise by Perfect World, is now in development for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

The latest installment will introduce a shared world where players can interact with each other and explore dungeons while fighting monsters with a group of friends. For this game, Echtra Games will serve as the development team for the latest game. Echtra is a new studio headed by the co-founder of Runic Games Max Schaefer and comprises of veteran developers that have worked on the Diablo franchise before their involvement in the Torchlight series.

Players who will attend that upcoming Gamescom or PAX West will have the opportunity for a hands-on experience with the early demo for Torchlight Frontiers. As the game is just announced, details on gameplay and other relevant matters are still kept in secret. However, Perfect World promises to reveal more information about the game at an unspecified date.
