Ocean Drive Studio has put its passion for twin-stick shooters into a new game titled Blackout Protocol. There are tons of intense action as the players blast through hordes of enemies in an under-attack research base. If there are any pleas for a shooter set in an Area 51-like setting then this game answers the call.
Players will take on the role of special agents that are sent into an overrun containment facility to clear it out after an internal breach. If one can get to the next safe zone, upgrades can be unlocked through data cubes, credits, and blueprints. There are currently four players available for gameplay use.
The game is fully voiced and has five levels to play through, a parking lot, lobby, office, warehouse, and an isolation chamber. There is also an entirely new game mode called the Swarm Defense Mode. There are also plans to add more content in the winter of 2023 and the first half of 2024, including two new agents, new weapons, an entirely new level, 10+ permanent upgrades, the official release, and so much more!
Blackout Protocol is officially out for Early Access on PC via Steam.
