ROCCAT Unveils New VULCAN II Series Keyboards

ROCCAT, a PC gear development brand situated under the larger Turtle Beach Corporation, unveiled the newest additions to the Vulcan II series, which itself is the sequel to ROCCAT’s best-selling Vulcan 120 series. Vulcan II received the Vulcan II Max and Vulcan II Mini late last year. The Vulcan II Mechanical Gaming Keyboard and the Vulcan II Mini Air, which has no cord attachment, are the newest keyboards for the Vulcan II brand. What do these two keyboards have in common? What makes them unique?

Vulcan II Mechanical Gaming Keyboard

The Vulcan II Mechanical Gaming Keyboard debuts the new redesigned Titan II Mechanical Switches. There are two different switch designs that offer different things. The Titan II Red/Linear switches are made for competitive gaming with better actualization and reduced resistance. The Titan II Brown/Tactile switches are made with light feedback in mind, utilizing gentle bumps and mid-presses.

The keyboard made sure that each switch is tuned to perfection. The switches come pre-lubed with reduced resistance, extra transparency to increase the RGB lighting, and enough durability to last over 80 million keystrokes! The RGB lighting is again powered by ROCCAT’s Swarm software and maintains the brand’s low-profile ID and an aluminum top finish. Other features include button duplicator technology, n-key rollover, and special anti-ghosting tech which is a great feature to have.

The keyboard is compatible with many different third-party cross-pattern keycaps, allowing for further customization past the base Vulcan II designs and accessories. Players can also customize the color scheme of their keyboards further thanks to the AIMO lighting and the previously mentioned Swarm software. Overall, there are over 16.8 million color combinations!

Comfort and aesthetics are big factors for the keyboard, showcasing a detachable cushioned wrist rest, an aluminum top plate that reduces deterioration, several media buttons, and a push-to-mute volume knob. The keyboard comes in Ash Black or Arctic White and supports 4MB of onboard memory to preserve color combinations.

Vulcan II Mini Air

The Vulcan II Mini Air retains many of the Vulcan II Mechanical’s features while adding new features of its own. The keyboard is ROCCAT’s first-ever wireless keyboard and acts as a sequel to the Vulcan II Mini. There is much more desk space available with the Mini Air and even includes a movement sensor. This means that when a player walks away, the Mini Air will know and act accordingly to preserve its already long-lasting battery life.

ROCCAT’s 2.4GHz Stellar Wireless feature and three distinct Bluetooth channels allow gamers to connect their favorite devices to the Mini Air. In addition to these features unique to the Mini Air, it also has every feature of the Vulcan II Mechanical Gaming Keyboard.

The Vulcan II Mechanical Gaming Keyboard and Vulcan II Mini Air will launch on July 19th. Pre-orders for both are currently available from both the official ROCCAT website and participating retailers.
