Zelda-Inspired Game AIROHEART Drops New Trailer

Dutch publisher SOEDESCO seems poised to release another great title later this year. Hot off the heels of other excellent releases, like Owlboy and Kaze and the Wild Masks, Airoheart is a Zelda-inspired pixel-art adventure from freshman Australian developers Pixel Heart Studios.  With an unmistakably 2D Zelda graphical flair and a promising soundtrack, which you can listen to samples of on Soundcloud, Airoheart looks incredibly encouraging for the new studio.

In the newly released teaser trailer, we see the titular hero, Airoheart, as he fights monsters, solves puzzles, and encounters deadly bosses while adventuring in the fantasy world of Engard. The trailer’s narration promises, “a classic tale of friendship, betrayal, and destiny.” The story of the game is certainly something the developers and publisher want to draw attention to, as well as the game’s fully animated story scenes.

The game doesn’t have a definitive release date as per the Steam store page, which has made the game available for wish listing, but the Kickstarter page for the game states that rewards, which include the full game, are estimated to deliver March 2022. Along with the PC release, they are also hoping to release Airoheart on PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch.
