Publisher PQube has announced the date of its new strategy JRPG, Adventure Academia: The Fractured Continent. The game is set to release on PC, Playstation 4 and Nintendo Switch December 9th.
Developed by ACQUIRE Corp, Adventure Academia: The Fractured Continent is an RPG that drops the player into a nation in serious trouble. A mysterious curse is spreading across the land, turning once-normal locations into labyrinthine dungeons. With their school under threat, the students of Obsidian High band together to try and defend each other from the hostile dungeons encroaching on their school.
Players are charged with organising a group of students, customizing them, and formulating a team capable of taking on waves of monsters. Students come from ten different species, and all have differing stats, weapons, armour, and personalities to manage.
The battle is grid-based and takes place in real-time. With the game comes a unique drag-and-drop mechanic allowing players to reposition their troops mid-way through a fight. This is important because protecting the commander from attacks is the key to victory.
Adventure Academia: The Fractured Continent is set to release on the 9th of December, and will be available for Playstation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam.
