Bandai Namco Brings Big News For DRAGONBALL Z: KAKAROT At Gamescom 2019

So far, Gamescom 2019 has brought us a bunch of big news from launch dates to new gameplay. Bandai Namco is right there with their own announcements including a couple for the upcoming game DragonBall Z: Kakarot. Not only did we find out that they are taking this game all the way through the Cell Arc of the series, but they have announced a new character that fits in with the canon lore of the series.

The new character is named Bonyu and she was originally made by Akira Toriyama to be the sixth member of the Ginyu Force. This character will be introduced through an important side quest within the game. There is no mention why Bonyu didn’t make it into the anime, but it is interesting to see that we will be meeting an original Toriyama created character in a new, canon-approved lore based DragonBall Z game.

As far as the Cell Arc being included into the game, this is a surprised for me. I thought they were going to take the same approach as they did back when they made The Legacy of Goku games and only give us one arc at a time. The Cell Arc was a personal favorite of mine, so I am extremely excited to get to play as my favorite character in the series: Teen Gohan. His battle with Cell is hands-down my favorite from the entire DragonBall Z anime.
