When it was announced that Crysis Remastered would be making its way to the Nintendo Switch I was in disbelief. Even the original PC release from 2007 can still cripple some modern CPU’s so how would it possibly work on the lower spec mobile hardware? I have been curious about this since launch and wondering how well the game would end up running (and looking). In a new post today from the official Crysis Twitter, we finally have some answers to both questions. The short video clip shared shows off the new and improved destruction engine.

First off the game is looking pretty good with noticeable lighting and particles happening. the action also appears smooth and even with falling trees it maintains performance. Sure this is just a small clip but it goes a long way to ensuring we might actually be getting a legit Crysis experience out of mobile hardware! Considering how out of this world the game was on machines of old, having it in portable just feels like it isn’t real. We won’t have long to wait to see the final version as Crysis Remastered is set to hit Switch on July 23.
