EA Announces Early Access To STAR WARS: BATTLEFRONT II Beta

EA has announced via the official Star Wars: Battlefront II website that a multiplayer beta is coming to PS4, Xbox One, and PC some time this Fall.

Pre-ordering the game will get you early access to the beta whenever that may be and it looks like Battlefront II is once again using the card system for power-ups and customizing loadouts because with the pre-order you also get an upgraded Epic Lightsaber Mastery Card for Yoda, although this will only be distributed in limited amounts, possibly indicating that it'll stay in your inventory permanntly once the game officially launches.

As previously announced, pre-ordering will give you access to a couple other in-game bonuses for heroes and vehicles and today's update provides a few insights into the specifics of those:

  • Exclusive Star Wars: The Last Jedi outfits for Kylo Ren and Rey.

  • Instant access to six hero and starfighter epic Star Cards:

    • Kylo Ren: Power Reach and Solid Freeze.

    • Rey: Far Sight and Deep Mind.

    • Starfighters: Enhanced Auxiliary Power and First Order ship upgrade.

  • Instant access to Star Wars: The Last Jedi Millennium Falcon with updated sounds and appearance.

Extra bonuses will also be available for the Elite Trooper Deluxe Edition and it will come with up to three-day early access to the game itself, so not the beta, and upgraded versions of all four trooper classes.

Star Wars: Battlefront II comes to a PS4, XBox One, or PC near you on November 17, 2017, but don't forget to check out EA Play this Saturday for an early look at gameplay via a new trailer and a livestream of a 20 on 20 battle featuring the Assault on Theed map.
