According to a new update on the Steam page of Helldivers 2, players will slowly need to link their Steam account to PSN before the mandatory requirement on May 30th.
Many people have issues with PSN being prone to data breaches, their country not being supported, among a host of other issues that has now changed the perception of players toward the game, espeically those who are continuing to play the game currently.
Arrowhead Games Studio stated that the reason for this move is to improve the safety, security, and protect players from griefing and abuse. While many players have voiced opinions against the new move, its worth mentioning that PSN was always required, but due to a shakylaunch, the requirement was removed and is being reinstated.
