A reputable insider has stated that Resident Evil 9 can be revealed very soon and have a release date of January 2025, but with June being the month of reveals, its only a matter of time before we see how much water this rumor holds.
We haven’t heard anything about a new entry to the main Resident Evil since the 8th entry in 2021, and the remake of 4 that launched in 2023. However, reputable insider Dusk Golem has stated that we can get the reveal for Resident Evil 9 “soon” and have a release date of January 2025.
June is the prime time of the year when reveals happen at company’s own streaming events and other online events like Summer Games Fest. We do not know if Resident Evil 9 will be a cross-gen or current gen only title, so all we can do is wait and see what happens.
It will also be interesting to see if the Winters story continues, or do we go back to the original cast of characters.
