At Gamescom 2022, one of the indie titles that had a moment in the spotlight was Sker Ritual from Wales Interactive. After having a demo so well received they extended it and made it on our Top 5 Indie Demos from Steam Next Fest, it definitely deserves the attention.
Set in the universe as their original horror title Maid of Sker, this new game brings a more combat-focused co-operative experience where players fight off enemies in a round-based fight for survival.
Along with some of the elites we faced in their original horror game, there will be new elites featured in this multiplayer title. The latest trailer focuses on the elites who each possess a unique set of abilities. Of course, elites aren't the only ones to curse the lands of Sker, as they will be backed up by a flock of enemies known as The Quiet Ones.
Sker Ritual is set to release on PC via Steam Early Access this October and it will be packed with upgradable steam-powered weapons, masks, voice taunts, and more customization options. Not to mention the list of objectives, maps, story progress, revive system, and more. Even with a solid build coming this October, they will be working to improve the game further and release the finished version on both PC and consoles.
How many rounds do you think you and your squad will be able to survive in the cursed lands of Sker?
