During today’s PS5 games event, IO Interactive unveiled Hitman III, the epic conclusion to the World of Assassination trilogy started back in the Hitman reboot. Hitman III will take players all over the world in an effort to eliminate the partners of Providence. Each location will be an open sandbox and task players with finding their own ways to achieve the ultimate goal. This time around Agent 47 is joined by his usual agency contact, Diana Burnwood, and an old friend, Lucas Grey.
“HITMAN 3 has a much darker tone than the previous games in the trilogy. On top of the core Hitman experience, we are mixing in some surprise elements, an evocative atmosphere and a very real sense of closure.”
Hitman III will feature 6 massive locations brought to life by IO Interactives Glacier technology. Most exciting for players of previous Hitman games, Hitman III will become a platform for the locations featured in the previous 2 titles. This means if you own all of the content from the previous 2 games those missions will be playable within Hitman III! For Hitman 2 players, this even means that unlockable items you have obtained will also carry over to the new game.

Hitman III is slated to launch in January 2021 and will be self published by IO Interactive across PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
