Earlier this month, Annapurna Interactive and BlueTwelve Studio announced the official release date for their upcoming cat game Stray. Revealed during Sony’s State of Play, they unveiled that players will be able to take control of this adventurous cat on July 19th on PC via Steam, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5.
Get ready to take the role of a stray cat who must untangle an ancient mystery to escape a long-forgotten cybercity amidst the detailed neon-lit alleys and the murky environments of its seedy underbelly. Along the way, the cat befriends a small flying drone, known only as B12. With the help of this newfound companion, the duo must find a way out.
Stray has been building up anticipation for years, but it was last year when they revealed actual gameplay for anticipating fans to check out that the real hype began to build up. It’s pretty great that it won’t be long before we finally get to dive into a strange new world with the agility, curiosity, and paws of a lost cat.
