WayForward has confirmed that both Billy and Jimmy Lee from Double Dragon are headed to River City Girls 2 as playable characters. River City Girls 2 has been out for a while, and it’s great to see the title getting support, and new content. Check out the teaser for the reveal below:
The DLC is coming to all platforms River City Girls 2 is available on including the Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S|X, and PC. It’s expected to arrive this Summer and is labeled as a “premium DLC”, meaning it isn’t free.
Both characters have full voice acting from returning voice actors with new music and are properly integrated into the campaign. In addition, a free update is also coming that includes a Double Dragon-themed motion comic, two new shops, new accessories, and more. More details are expected to be revealed near the DLC’s release.
I’m glad to see the game still getting some love, and these characters are the perfect addition to River City Girls 2’s roster. Crossovers like these will hopefully keep the genre alive, and I can’t wait to see what WayForward has planned next for both franchises.
