Love And Death In Alchemy Sim Sequel MY LOVELY WIFE

Neon Doctrine have officially announced the sequel to GameChanger Studio’s morally dubious alchemy simulator My Lovely Daughter, and this time, love is in the air.

My Lovely Wife invites players to once again step into the shoes of a bereaved alchemist of questionable ethics, as they play as Jake, a man who had recently experienced the sudden loss of his beloved wife Luna. Approached by a mysterious patron, he is offered a way in which he can return his true love to life and vitality,  though as players of My Lovely Daughter might suspect, the path to doing so is paved with all kinds of dark deeds.

In order to resurrect his deceased spouse, Jake must harvest essence from living people, and to do so he must summon succubi to collect it for him. The more genuine the feelings of affection the creatures have for their summoner, the more they will be able to acquire. Unfortunately for the succubi, the only way to get that energy out is pretty final for them, with the trusty minions having the be brutally slain to extract it. So the progress to reversing death is paved with betrayal and manipulation of others. Still, everyone has to make some sacrifices for true progress, and it certainly sounds like Jake will be making an awful lot of them before the game is over.

However, at least this time around, there are other options. Perhaps Jake might find new love blossoming between him and one of the demonic entities he’s called to enact his dark magic. The gameplay comprises striking a balance between performing forbidden alchemy, maintaining a good relationship with the succubi (before possibly murdering them), and running a business charging townsfolk for the amorous demons’ services. Truly a man of many talents, just all of them sinister ones.

The game boasts twenty different succubi and a massive forty-two different endings, depending on the player’s choices, and the lengths they’re willing to go to to try and reverse the natural forces of the cosmos.

My Lovely Wife is scheduled to be available on the 8th of June for Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.
