The latest Mega Man collection finally has a release date, and it’s not too far off. Capcom took to social media today to announce that Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection will launch on April 14th, 2023. The trailer also showed off many of the new features players can expect when they get their hands on this revamped collection.
For the first time, the Mega Man Battle Network games will have online functionality, allowing players to battle one another in 1v1 matches anywhere in the world. There are even ranked matches for the more competitive gamers. Players will also be able to trade chips, get access to rare chips through special event drops, and compare their chip libraries with other players.
Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection includes every game in the Battle Network series, starting with the original title and going all the way up through Mega Man Battle Network 6. There are 10 total games in the collection, though Battle Network 4, 5, and 6 all had two, slightly distinct versions in a similar vein as Pokémon releases.
The entire series was released for the Game Boy Advance, so this collection will be the first time the game is officially available for a non-Nintendo platform. Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection will launch on April 14th, 2023, for the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam.
