A little over a month ago, we got the official release date for the upcoming PlayStation VR2 hardware from Sony PlayStation. Along with this announcement, we had a list of games that would be available on the same day as the new virtual reality gear’s launch. Claiming a spot on this list is Polyarc with their award-winning series, Moss, which recently won Best VR/AR Game at The Game Awards 2022 for Moss: Book II.
Both Moss and Moss: Book II will leverage PlayStation VR2’s hardware technology to enhance players’ first-person immersion with revamped haptic feedback, improved visuals, eye tracking, and new game mechanics. While these titles may already be available on both Meta Quest 2 and standard PSVR, these updates might make a replay worthwhile or, if you haven’t played the games yet, give the best way to play the series.
“Since learning about and getting our hands on PS VR2 hardware earlier this year, we’ve experimented with its new tech features and perfected ways to increase the immersion players feel in the world of Moss,” said Doug Burton, designer at Polyarc. “Along with that, the team was able to pump even more visual detail into every character and environment with more lighting and texture improvements that make the already stunning environments sing even more on the PS VR2. Now, millions of new and existing fans can experience the enhanced versions of Moss and Moss: Book II on the latest VR hardware coming to market.”
Moss and Moss: Book II will launch on day one of the PSVR2’s launch in February 2023. They have opened pre-orders on the PlayStation 5 with a 10% discount. Players can save a little more with a 20% discount if they get the Moss bundle. Plus, PlayStation Plus users get an additional 10% off the bundle.
