New ELDER SCROLLS ONLINE Expansion Released!

This week Bethesda is celebrating the release of the newest chapter in the Elder Scrolls Online MMO. Following the momentum from its thunderously popular Blackwood expansion, ZeniMax Online Studios and Bethesda are back with an all-new expansion that promises to expand not only the game but also the world of Tamriel.

In The Elder Scrolls Online: High Isle, players will explore the never-before-seen Systres Archipelago, wherein lies High Isle, home of the Bretons. The Bretons have been a playable race since The Elder Scrolls: Arena, but their homeland has never been fully realized as an explorable area for players.

The new region takes inspiration from the real-world Mediterranean, as is said to be fraught with political intrigue, ruthless enemies, and new allies. Since the last expansion of the game, Blackwood from 2021, companions have been a new and exciting part of the game. Included in this expansion are two new companions, a magic-using Khajiit named Ember, and a Breton knight called Isobel.

In addition, ESO is adding a new competitive card game to the mix called Tales of Tribute. Boasting its own leveling system and quest line, High Isle will keep players with plenty of things to do for the next year or more.

The Elder Scrolls Online: High Isle was released for PC this week on Steam and Google Stadia, with a scheduled console release later this month.
