After their successful launch of the series continuation title Streets of Rage 4, it seems that Dotemu has set their sights on the next classic game series that needed a continuation title. In partnership with developer Tribute Games, they have announced Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge! This new game was directly inspired by classic TMNT games like Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles In Time, so we are definitely looking at another great game for fans of this nostalgic and classic series.
Reuniting Leonardo, Raphael, Michelangelo, and Donatello to kick shell in a beautifully realized pixel art world invoking the turtles’ classic 1987 design. This time they will find themselves battling through a breathless tour of iconic TMNT locations to thwart their nemeses’ most diabolical plan yet with Bebop and Rocksteady amassing gizmos to support Krang and Shredder’s latest scheme. Armed with shell-shocking new abilities built on a foundation of classic brawling mechanics, the gang will have to make their way through the sewers and bustling boroughs of New York City all the way to Dimension X.
I have to say, if any two teams were going to work together on bringing a new chapter to this series, Dotemu and Tribute Games are definitely to be trusted. This is definitely a title I am going to be looking forward to and am excited to grab control of my favorite turtle, Donatello, once again!
