Netflix released the world premiere trailer of The Witcher season three at this year’s Summer Game Fest. The Witcher has proven to be a standout amongst video game adaptations so it’s great to see more content from the beloved series. Making his return this season as Geralt of Rivia is Henry Cavill. It’s well known that he will be stepping down as Geralt to make room for Liam Hemsworth, so this season should be a great time for Cavill fans to enjoy his presence one last time.

The new trailer roughly breaks down threads from the previous season. Ciri is now the prime commodity for many different people on the continent, both for her political value and for her magic capabilities due to her blood. There won’t be heavy spoilers in this article for season two but know that this season has the Wild Hunt, and it looks like Ciri is who they’re aiming for as well as the emperor of Nilfgaard.

Geralt is once again traveling with Ciri and Yennefer as all of this goes on so it looks like there will be plenty of adventure, killing, and powerful magic for the trio to encounter while they all try to stay alive in a new season of a very bleak Slavic myth inspired show.

Season one volume one will air on June 29th only through Netflix and volume two will air on July 27th.
