PLAYERUNKNOWN's BATTLEGROUNDS Just Surpassed DOTA 2's Steam Count

In something most believed was impossible, PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds just surpassed Dota 2 for the second highest "peak today" count on Steam. That's something that hasn't been done in a VERY long time, and when you consider Dota is free to play and PUBG is $27 and in early access, it gets even more impressive.

Granted, the game is still a long way from breaking the concurrent player count of Dota 2 (1.2 million), but today's achievement should be an indicator that it can be done. Does this mean the game has a shot at dethroning CS:GO? A month ago I would've said it was crazy, but this game has really managed to surprise everyone. Do you think it can pull it off?
