Review: Battle Beaver Customs Gamecube Controllers

Battle Beaver Customs sent us one of their patented controller models that, according to them, any Smash fan would be happy to have. GameTyrant Smash pro Logos takes a look at the controller and gives his official stamp of approval on the controller.

Build and Aesthetics

Everything about this controller is custom. From the joysticks, to the Z button, to the grip on the controller, its obvious Battle Beaver Customs knows what a pro gaming controller should be. Response times are as to be expected. The cord is threaded, which is a classy touch. The buttons have a great drop and bounce back. The Z button particularly is nice. It has a tactical feel to it. The handles on the controller are gripped so you won't have to worry about it slipping out of your hand.

This particular controller is designed for GT-X so there is a green GT-X button in place of the A button. The cord is green. The X Y and B buttons are all whited out. Would be nice to see some additional designs on those. It's really not a big deal since it doesn't effect game play. No real downsides to be completely honest.

Verdict

All in all, this is definitely your high end professional gaming controller. It's made with quality parts so you won't have to worry about it breaking easily. Unless of course you get mad and hurl it at a wall. Even then, it probably would hold up very well. We can highly recommend Battle Beaver Customs controllers.
