This old man loves finding new or old (I don’t care) gaming gems that are either unique, go unnoticed or just needs a bit of the spotlight in a very crowded gaming market. While at GDC this year, I had the pleasure of meeting with the Dreamhaven team and checking out their promising portfolio. Part of that portfolio was Mechabellum developed by Game River but partnered with Dreamhaven, which instantly caught my eye just from the marketing videos. I had to have it.
Now that I’ve played it. I am pleased to present it as our Hidden Gem of March 2025! It’s autobattling, turn-based triumph that not only looks, sounds, and feels amazing to play, it’s on sale on Steam for $11.99 which the premium edition only a couple of bucks more. An absolute no brainer.
The game is extremely polished and addicting especially at this price point. With a Very Positive rating on Steam with thousands of reviews, I am not the only one who loves him some Mechabellum action. GO GET SOME.
