Sega is holding a vote over on Twitter for fans to help decide what games will be included on their upcoming Mega Drive Mini. The first vote is between Sonic the Hedgehog and Sonic the Hedgehog 2 with Sonic 2 leading the vote as of this writing. The second vote is between Puyo Puyo and Puyo Pu Yori with Puyo Pu Yori holding a significant lead. The final vote is between Shining Force and Shining Force 2 with Shining Force currently in the lead. The vote is scheduled to last 6 days and so if you want a say on the game library get those votes in!
To me it seems dumb to limit the inclusion of classic cornerstone franchises of the Mega Drive library to just one entry. It is one of the problems that has plagued every classic to date and considering the size of Mega Drive games and that they are Sega owned we know it isn’t a case of licenses or storage limitations. There isn’t much solid information on the Mega Drive Mini now but hopefully we will get more info soon!
