Shigeru Miyamoto Explains Why LEGEND OF ZELDA: BREATH OF THE WILD Was Delayed So Long

I remember last year when Legend of Zelda was delayed, rumors began to swirl that it was due to either Nintendo dropping out of the console market, or abandoning the Wii U. Turns out one of those was true, but Shigeru Miyamoto tells IGN that wasn't what held Breath of the Wild from releasing...

“It’s complicated because as we’re developing this -- obviously development of NX started a while ago -- and unfortunately, I’m sorry, but the development of this game took a lot longer than expected...there was a lot of struggle with using the physics engine, so that’s why it took a long time."

Miyamoto also remarked on how the game will not utilize the unique features of the Wii U as it's meant to be a transition game between the console to the new NX. I just can't wait to play the full thing already! Quit teasing us Nintendo and release it already!
