When it comes to having a cool collection of items and gear, gamers tend to lean towards figures and collectibles that can be displayed. There’s more ways to show off your favorite titles and that is in your apparel style itself! Some of the latest items worth checking out have come from iam8bit and their partnership with Skybound Games.
Together, they have been launching a line of items from Studio MDHR’s Cuphead series. From the game’s collector’s edition to awesome character shirts, socks, and pin sets. The shirts feature one of the main characters from The Cuphead Show and are made with a very comfortable fabric that is soft, before and after its first wash cycle. Having the Grimacing Ms. Chalice shirt myself, I have to say that it is one of the most comfortable shirts I own now and it caught the attention of fellow Cuphead fans when I went out with it on for the first time. For pin collectors, they have a cool collection of characters and enemies for you to hand-pick your favorites - or just collect them all! You can check out their full selection of items on the iam8bit website.
Another team that has released some cool gamer gear comes from Reebok and their new line of Street Fighter shoes. Feature one of Capcom's flagship series, there are a number of style options to choose from when it comes to their new line. Whether you like the high-top style from their Shaq Attaq option, which features the street fighter theme inclusive of all characters, their Workout Plus option, which was inspired by M. Bison, or the Classic Leather option, which was inspired by Gill.
Personally, I like the standard sneaker style and found myself with a pair of their Classic Leather option. With the left shoe featuring Cold Blue and the right shoe featuring Fire Red, the split-colored shoes make a stand-out impression. From the top view of the shoes, you can see the Street Fighter logo on the left tongue and the Reebok logo on the right tongue while the insoles feature Gill’s character shot on the left and the classic “Fight!” on the right. Plus, they come with black and yellow laces for you to choose from or set up to wear with both, giving you the choice to also incorporate Gill’s hair color or to go with a more straightforward look. Ultimately, I landed on lacing up with the yellow option to fit the style and character in full.
After having this gamer-style combo, I definitely find myself wanting to make this a direction to take my clothing style in. Rather than picking up random shirts that just about everybody has at retail stores, it might be time to consider getting more selective items featuring our favorite games! I have had shirts featuring my favorite anime, shows, and bands, so why wouldn’t I want shows featuring my favorite games? It almost seems obvious when you think about it and I can’t thank these two teams enough for providing these options to me. From being arguably more comfortable than most standard shirts and shoes to simply being a matter of a change in style, gamer apparel is the new focus for me!
