It hasn’t been long since we learned of the new lead role that popular voice actor David Hayter took on, which was the role of The Whisperer in the upcoming fast-paced Metroidvania title SteamDolls. Developers The Shady Gentlemen and publisher Top Hat Studios even put up a free demo on their Steam page which left a positive first impression for many players, including myself. Aside from their announcement that they will be releasing an extended free demo on June 15th to replace their concept demo, they have launched their Kickstarter!
With an initial goal of roughly $34,000, they have already succeeded with a current total raised an amount of roughly $51,000 at the time of writing this. Even with this fact, the campaign is still something worth looking in to. With plenty of ways to get your name added to the credits, get physical and digital copies of the game put aside for you, and plenty of Kickstarter exclusive rewards, this is your only chance to grab a few collectible-type items that you can’t get once the crowdfunding campaign ends.
I love seeing worthy games getting fully funded, especially when you see the campaign reach its goal within the first week of launching it. Great ideas are truly rewarded by the communities they are developed for. Be sure to stop by the Kickstarter page and see if any of the exclusive rewards are right for you, but don’t wait too long because there are limited amounts available!
