Street Fighter V is getting an update in the form of Street Fighter V: Champion Edition! This should come as no surprise to fans as updates and updated versions are a tried and true Street Fighter tradition. Champion Edition will be a modified version of Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition, increasing the character count to 40, the stage count to 34, and it will also feature 200+ costumes!
But that's not all! Gill makes his return! Noted for his long blonde hair, as well as his mastery of cryo- and pyrokinesis, Gill was essentially the Big Bad Wolf of Street Fighter III. With some DEVASTATING Super Arts, he was one hell of a final boss! Gill was last seen as a playable character in Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike - Online Edition as a totally imbalanced character—too busted for legitimate competitive play.
Gill will be joining the cast of Street Fighter V as a solo/early access DLC character in December 2019 or with the full package, which is due to come out in February 2020. Street Fighter V will be available on PlayStation 4 (physically and digitally) and on Steam for MSRP $29.99. Purchasing Gill separately will be for MSRP $4.99.
