Red Dead Redemption 2 is only a few days away as the game releases on Friday for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Now, Rockstar Games has confirmed that the free companion app for Red Dead Redemption 2, will be launched on the same day as the full game.
The Companion App will serve as a secondary map screen giving players the ability to quickly zoom in and out on the map, set waypoints, mark specific areas in real time. Moreover, the app will provide access to Arthur Morgan’s info, stats, and the in-game journal.
Rockstar Games also revealed that the app will “provide stat tracking through Social Club, contains the full digital game manual, plus an optional digital version of the Red Dead Redemption 2 Complete Official Guide from Piggyback and more.”
Red Dead Redemption 2 will be released on October 26 for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, while the companion app will launch on the same day for both iOS and Android devices.
