During last year’s DC FanDome, we talked about Rocksteady Studios’ latest venture into their created DC universe, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. Yesterday, during this year’s FanDome event, we got yet another look at this new Suicide Squad title, giving us a bit more to chew on as far as the story goes.
It’s really cool to see just how well these characters work together through the voice actors and how the characters were modeled. It reminds me a lot of James Gunn’s work on the Suicide Squad film from this past summer as well as his work on Guardians of the Galaxy films. It’s a very smart idea for DC to embrace the more zany aspects that are in the very being of what the Suicide Squad actually is.
Another aspect that I have to give props to is the visual performance. This game looks incredibly smooth and these look like in-game cinematics and not at all pre-rendered. We’ll see once the game actually releases though as to if this is indeed the case.
There’s no official date as to when this game will drop other than it will do so in 2022 and will release on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC.
