The 2016 reboot of Doom and the original version of Rage, both of which are id Software’s most prominent franchises are now available to subscribers of the Xbox Game Pass in light of the recent QuakeCon 2018.
In the event, both games were featured during QuakeCon’s opening keynote, which also revealed that both Rage and Doom would be releasing sequels in the future. Rage 2 promises a broader and more open environment than its predecessor and id Software released a trailer showcasing just that. Doom, on the other hand, revealed the first gameplay trailer for Doom Eternal, which was initially announced during E3 last June. The game will be massive compared to 2016’s reboot of Doom and will feature new enemies and a grappling gun for more exciting and unique combat.
Doom 2016 and Rage are now available on Microsoft’s subscription service, which allows players to download select Xbox games for a monthly subscription.
Rage 2 is scheduled to release on June 2019 for the PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One, while Doom Eternal still has no release date but is slated to launch on the PlayStation 4, PC, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
