100Hr Games, an independent studio that consists of one person has revealed that Artificial Extinction, their first person tower defense RTS title will be launching later this month, Friday March 13th on Steam.
Artificial Extinction is unique, because it’s a Tower Defense game that features RTS elements, all while being played from a First Person perspective. The game puts you in control of a human colonist attempting to escape with their family away from an AI uprising on Earth, as they fight wave after wave of killer robots while trying to find a new home on a recently terraformed planet.

Players have 9 days to find a safe place on the recently terraformed planet. At the beginning of each day their ship will drop them off somewhere on the planet, and then retreat back into a safe orbiting distance. Players will then be required to collect fuel for the ship while hostile robots advance towards them. They will need to set up Sentry Weapons in order to protect themselves while the fuel is collected. Once enough fuel has been collected, players can return to the ship and continue their search for a new home on the planet.
Artificial Extinction will launch later this month on March 13th. The game will be available for purchase on Windows PC through Steam for $19.99 USD.
