Developers Charlie Oscar have released a major update for their turn-based RPG Spire of Sorcery, currently available on Steam Early Access. New features include a story mode plus other gameplay additions, such as an upgraded encounter interface, as well as tweaks to the game’s spellbook.
Spire of Sorcery is a turn-based party RPG with deck mechanics. The game utilizes a system of tokens that allows you to combine spellcasting, alchemy, and equipment and affect both opponents and environments. You’re in control of a party of runaway mages, who are seeking to aid the sentient magical citadel and mend the broken world of Rund.
With the addition of story mode, Chapter 1 is the first of three that were recently included. It will allow players to enjoy an all-new way of experiencing the game, deepening many of its RPG features. Each new map and chapter will have encounters intertwined with stories, unique visuals, creatures, and new objects.
You can play Spire of Sorcery now on Steam Early Access and take off 15% until January 5th! What do you think of the new story mode addition? We’re looking forward to getting our hands on this and finding out!
