After Mortal Kombat 1's initial season in Invasions mode, there were some kinks to iron out. However, after tuning into the Kombat Kast, my optimism for what Season 2 has in store has skyrocketed. Season 1 revolved around Scorpion, featuring a plethora of red and orange seasonal skins. Season 2, themed Blood Moon and inspired by Nitara, is introducing some wickedly cool bloody vampire skins.
Get ready for an entirely new mesa experience in Season 2, complemented by fresh pathways on returning mesas from the first season. They've promised a broader range of enemies and a host of quality of life improvements. Say goodbye to tedious inventory management as talismans will now be gifted every other match. Secret fights are poised to be more secretive, and ambushes are set to occur less frequently. Season 2 aims to be everything that Season 1 wasn't, and kudos to NetherRealm Studios for heeding our feedback.
