WARFRAME Is Coming To The Nintendo Switch Soon

The hit cooperative, sci-fi action game, Warframe, is coming to the Nintendo Switch™ system! They were called Tenno. Warriors of blade and gun - masters of the Warframe armor. Those that survived the Old War were left drifting among the ruins. Now they are needed once more. Learn more about Warframe here!

Warframe, the free-to-play third-person shooter by Digital Extremes is on the way to Nintendo Switch soon and will be developed by Panic Button the studio behind the Switch ports of Doom and Wolfenstein: The New Colossus.

The announcement was made during TennoCon, which is an annual convention dedicated to Warframe that is hosted by Digital Extremes. Unfortunately, details were scarce during the announcement, not even a general release window or any additional features for the Switch version were revealed.

Although Warframe isn't really the first that comes to mind when I think of games that would be great on the Switch, the decision to port it to Nintendo's hybrid console is not that surprising. Ever since its debut last year, game developers started paying attention to Nintendo once again as the Switch proved to be a success in the market. Combine that with the massive player-base of Warframe that reached a whopping 30 million players as of October 2017, which is impressive for a small studio to attain.
