At the moment, CD Projekt RED does not have any plans on developing The Witcher 4 as they are currently preoccupied with Cyberpunk 2077. However, the voice actor of Geralt shared his thoughts on how the game should be if CD Projekt RED will decide to develop another sequel.
In an interview with Gamereactor, voice actor Doug Cockle was asked if Geralt's cameo in SoulCalibur VI would be his last stint as the badass silver fox, to which he replied:
"If you're leading into The Witcher 4, I can only say I have no idea, although I think it will be," Cockle said to Gamereactor. "This is my own opinion, and CD Projekt RED knows what they are doing, and I have no idea what the plan is, but...If I was CD Projekt RED, I would make The Witcher 4, but I would be focusing on Ciri. In The Witcher 3 she hints at visiting other worlds, and I think a game around her visiting those different worlds would be a cool Witcher 4."
Well, Cockle's opinion on Geralt's story ending in The Witcher 3 is not that far off from what the developer said in the past. CD Projekt RED has been vocal before that Geralt's journey would end in The Witcher 3.
