We Finally Have A Small Glimpse Of CALL OF DUTY: MODERN WARFARE 2

With us shortly closing the first half of the year, developers and publishers begin to show off exactly what we can expect within the second half. One title with an abundant amount of hype behind it is this year’s latest Call of Duty title. Rumors of the franchise returning to the Modern Warfare series were correct, as Activision unveiled the “next chapter” for their franchise, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II, releasing on October 28th, 2022.

This new title will bring back the iconic Task Force 141 team, consisting of Ghost, Captain Price, Soap, Gaz, and the newly revealed, Colonel Alejandro Vargas of the Mexican Special Forces. The information was announced via the above trailer showing off the beautiful artwork displayed throughout the Port of Long Beach.

Colonel Alejandro Vargas

It’s unclear what role Colonel Vargas will play in this new chapter of the MW series and whether or not this title will bring combat to the American homefront. Could the inclusion of Long Beach be a clue as to where a battle or two could take place? It’s all speculation for now until more information is dropped in the coming weeks as Summer Game Fest begins June 9th.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II releases on October 28th, with gaming platforms TBA. For more information visit the official Call of Duty site for details.
