Mixing together the gameplay of a classic platformer with the turn-based action of a JRPG is the indie developer Jelle van Doome in their latest game to hit Steam’s Early Access, Viola! This musically themed adventure will have you partner up with your initial set of team members to take on a variety of enemies as you try to find your way out of a strange land.
Viola has just recently launched on Steam and is planning to remain in Early Access until Q2 2020 with the goal to last less than a year. They plan to provide periodic updates that will let you continue through the journey as it is developed as well. The current build will take you through the first few sections of the adventure and put together your initial full team of fighters.
This is a game that will be mixing the turn-based action of melee, magic, defense, and strategy while leaving the action completely up to the player. Avoid enemy encounters or face them head on, either way your only goal is to survive the journey back to the black hole that brought you here. Are you ready to begin your musical adventure?
