It’s been a long, long time since we’ve received any new classes in the Diablo franchise but here are, less than a week away, July 13th to be exact, when we can get on our hands on the incredible-looking Blood Knight class for Diablo Immortal. We had a chance to sit down with some of the developers recently and their excitement was palpable for the upcoming class and it got our blood pumping as well to give it a whirl.
The best part about everything we heard? You can start fresh, with a fully voice-acted script for the entire campaign with all of the PVE and PVP features fully baked into the new class. So, luckily we aren’t seeing some filler class that was thrown together over a quick design session shoehorned into the already fantastic campaign. The devs made it very clear that this was by far the favorite class and design from all their sessions across the team and boy, does it show! With a mostly vampiric style/blood skills, it looks like a blast to play.
With recent ties into Diablo IV, Immortal has shown some tremendous improvements and features so, even if you didn’t care for the game at launch, trying out the Blood Knight is the perfect chance to come back and give it a fresh look.
Diablo Immortal is available on iOS, Android, and PC with cross-progression, so there are a ton of platform options to play with. Also, with recent updates, the PC version of the game has become even better with higher-resolution display options for both windowed and full-screen modes. For me, I can’t wait for a bloody good time coming July 13th!
