EIYUDEN CHRONICLE: HUNDRED HEROES Hits $500,000 Kickstarter Goal In Three Hours

The Kickstarter campaign for Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes is off to a great start. It hit the funding goal of $500,000 in less than three hours, which is crazy, and it’s already over $700,000 in pledged support from over 6000 backers.

Rabbit & Bear Studios is the creative force behind the game and there are a lot of well-known JRPG developers on the team. It’s a massive story, and—as the titles suggest—there are one hundred characters that will feature in the game.

This is from the same people that worked on the Suikoden series, and it’s the first collaboration in 25 years for Yoshitaka Murayama and Junko Kawano. Eiyuden Chronicle will features a six-character battle system similiar to traditional JRPGs, but it will have a beautifully-realized world where handmade pixel art exists within 3D backgrounds.

The minimum funding goal will ensure that this game releases on the PC, but there will also be stretch goals intended to release the game on additional platforms, including the next-gen PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X.
