The Splatoon series is well known for its Splatfest competitions that pit players against one another in friendly competition. Splatoon 3s first Splatfest concluded with a narrow victory for Team Gear, but players are already gearing up for the next event. And they won’t have much longer to wait, as Nintendo has revealed the dates for Splatoon 3’s second official SplatFest.

Splatoon 3’s second Splatfest will be a Pokémon crossover and feature teams based around the three starting Pokémon types: Fire, Grass, and Water. The Splatfest will officially kick off on November 11th at 4 PM PT and run through the same time on November 13th. Players can also participate in the sneak preview starting earlier in the week, which allows them to choose their team and earn Conch Shells when leveling up their Catalogue.

Splatfests have become an iconic feature in the franchise over the years that sees players rallying around their teams with feverish devotion. The competitions take place within the standard Turf War multiplayer mode, but during the SplatFest you’ll always represent your team’s paint color.

Playing matches earns you Clout, a unique point total that contributes to your team’s overall ranking. Overall points are then distributed based on Conch Shells earned during the week leading up to the Splatfest, the total number of players per team, and Clout earned in both regular and Pro game modes. These points are also weighted so there’s no chance of a tie.

Splatoon 3 is available now exclusively for the Nintendo Switch. For more from Nintendo, check out the reveal of a new Pokemon arriving in Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet.
