EA released a new CG short that focuses on the importance of storytelling in Star Wars: Squadrons. The short is extremely impressive in how it handles the subject matter of imperial stormtroopers in the fall of the galactic empire. We get to see more of the humanity behind the helmet as well as the darkness that remains to be their driving force. We’ve seen the empire’s point of view in Star Wars: Battlefront 2’s singleplayer story but it’s nice to see it revisited for sure.
In recent days it was also announced that the game would take advantage of flight sticks to deepen its gameplay. This is being trotted as a Star Wars flight simulator game. So the more realistic it is, the better. Motive Studios seems to really be putting their hearts into this amazing looking game. Being a die-hard Star Wars fan this is my most anticipated game of the year. The game releases on October 2nd for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
