The Evercade Handheld gaming system’s library is growing at a rapid pace. There’s no sign of it slowing down with the announcement of their latest collection cartridge called, Indie Heroes Collection 1. It’s a compilation cartridge featuring 14 games from 10 developers coming from all over the globe. The cool thing about this cart is the fact that it’s not a narrow-minded comp. It has a diverse set of games from totally different genres. From adventure-platformers to the bone-chilling 8bit horror titles. It just goes to show that the folks over at Evercade really know how to deliver to their players.

This collection of 14 games brings the Evercade’s library up to over 190 titles and the number of carts available up to 17. For those unaware of what the Evercade really is, it’s a new handheld platform for Indie and Homebrew developers to put out physical releases of their projects. It’s not just limited to those though as Evercade also works with classic game devs to bring in those nostalgic vibes too. They’ve worked with Atari, Jaleco, Piko Interactive, Namco Museum, and more to do so. All of which are fully licensed so there are no worries there. One of my favorite features that the console offers is the option to plug it into your television via mini HDMI.

The Indie Heroes Collection 1 will be releasing in early 2021 and will be priced modestly at only $19.99. You can currently pick up a neat bundle of already released cartridges plus the console for only $99.99 on Amazon so that you’re ready to dive in once this compilation arrives at stores!
