The KINGDOM HEARTS Series Comes To Nintendo Switch This February

Square Enix’s Kingdom Hearts franchise is finally making its way to the Nintendo Switch on February 10th, 2022, and will be purchasable as individual titles or as part of the all-in-one Kingdom Hearts Integrum Masterpiece for Cloud collection.

All of the games will be part of Nintendo’s cloud streaming service, so players will need a constant internet connection in order to access the titles. Square Enix has released demos for each of the games to allow players to test their internet connections before making a purchase.

The Integrum Masterpiece collection includes Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5+2.5 ReMIX, Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue, and Kingdom Hearts III + Re Mind (DLC), which will bring players through the entire Dark Seeker Saga that spans almost 20 years of game releases across three generations of consoles.

Several of the games included in this collection made their debut on previous iterations of Nintendo hardware, including the popular Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories that was initially released as a Game Boy Advance title. It would later be remade for the PlayStation 2, which is the version included in this collection.

This is just the first Kingdom Hearts-related release this year as Square Enix gears up to celebrate the series’ 20th anniversary. The kickoff for this milestone will be a special event in Tokyo on April 10th, 2022, that will feature a “mini concert, a chat and Q&A with the development team, an exhibition, and much more.”

Kingdom Hearts Integrum Masterpiece for Cloud, Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5+2.5 ReMIX, Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue and Kingdom Hearts III + Re Mind (DLC) will be available for the Nintendo Switch on February 10th, 2022. The internet connection demos for each title are available now via the Nintendo eShop.
