Activision President Says The Studio is Investing Significant Resources to BLACK OPS 4 on PC

Ever since the announcement that Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is in the works, Activision has been quiet about the game’s development. However, the studio recently announced that significant resources are being allocated for the PC version of the upcoming game.

Coddy Johnson, the president, and COO of Activision Blizzard, recently announced during an investors meeting, that the company has increased focus on the PC version of the game. Furthermore, Johnson said that the upcoming entry to the Call of Duty franchise “is a game that will push the envelope with innovation.”

“You’ll see that in the core game itself, where we have a number of new exciting developments to roll out very soon, but also in the game’s appeal on growth platforms like PC, where we’ve invested significant dedicated resources and design time to make sure we can deliver a great PC game to serve that community,” Johnson said.

Although the announcement is exciting for Call of Duty fans on the PC, Activision Blizzard did not reveal any details on what form these “significant dedicated resources” will be and how they will affect the final version of the game on the platform. Of course, it is expected that the studio will reveal more information during the Black Ops 4 global reveal event, which will take place on May 17, 2018.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is scheduled to launch on October 12, 2018, for the PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
