Arzopa Z1FC Portable Gaming Monitor Review: There's Always A Reason To Use It

Review sample provided by Arzopa

Gaming on the ego. This is an idea that gamers have had on their minds since the inception of the original GameBoy. Even before then, handheld water games and such have been used by those who love the thrill of the game, no matter where they are. However, gaming has come a long way these days. The Nintendo Switch gives players the power of a standard gaming console in their hands, and even gaming laptops can stand the test against typical stationary PC gaming hardware.

As someone who’s made the switch from stationary console and PC gaming over the years, I’m happier than ever with the freedom to game wherever I please. I’ve enjoyed taking my Switch and gaming laptop with me on vacations and journeys, though the single small screen of a laptop or Switch can be a bit less than one may be used to. I’m familiar with having multiple monitors; one for each thing I’m doing, blazing sweet blue rays at my eyes.

While the remedy for this common concern has been there for a while, it’s taken the technology brand Arzopa to make it something worth exploring. I’m talking about portable monitors. though many portable monitors exist and can be purchased for a fair price, none are very gamer-friendly. They lack the great screen coloration, high refresh rates, and dependability that gamers need. Enter Arzopa’s Z1FC Portable Gaming Monitor.

Features and Quality

I was really excited to test out the Z1FC and put it to the test. A year back or so, I had the grand idea of solely daily-driving a standard portable monitor on my PC. And well, it ended exactly how you may think; with a return label back to Amazon. The screen couldn’t keep up with my movement in-game, coloration was poor, and the screen itself was just way too small and low to be comfortable for long periods.

Luckily, the Z1FC evaporates all of those old negative feelings I had. This monitor is large, boasting a beautiful 1080p display, perfect for a large range of colors, with a clear resolution. It’s also fantastic for gaming, thanks to its impeccable 144hz refresh rate. Meaning, you won’t have to worry about your screen smearing, blurring, or lagging behind your gameplay.

Having been testing this in both the field of gaming and in daily tasks (ie. writing, surfing the web, and watching video content), this is a fantastic monitor for its price. And the fact that I can take it anywhere with me just makes it that much more unbelievable. Even at its MSRP price tag of $169.99, it’s a great investment, but you most likely won’t have to pay that much for it, since it’s almost perpetually on sale for $125 or less.

When we’re talking about quality, it’s actually a bit complex. You see, I honestly like the screen and most of the design for this device. The bezel is pretty much nonexistent. I wouldn’t say that this is an indestructible portable monitor, but it’s already stood up to some falls. The reason is, that the kickstand is my least favorite aspect of this whole deal. It’s a thin metal adjustable frame that pops out towards the right side of the body. Though this monitor can be angled anywhere, you shouldn’t really do so straighter up, even though it’s advertised to do so.

Feedback

My only hangup with the Z1FC is the fact that the darn stand on the back is just kind of oddly constructed. Because of this, the thing fell over at least three times while testing. Alo, the rubber foot at the bottom of it doesn’t fully go around so there’s the possibility that you could scratch the surface under it. It’s a shame.

Conclusion

When push comes to shove, Arzopa is offering players an almost perfect budget-friendly portable gaming monitor here. The large screen and gamer-friendly features make this an obvious purchase for those looking to take their gaming to the next level. Whether that’s via laptop, Switch, or even mobile, you cannot go wrong with this amazing device. Just be careful about it tipping over here and there, though its screen seems to be able to put up with it just fine.
