BATTLEFIELD 2042 Response To Open Beta Feedback Instills New Hope

After their open beta session for Battlefield 2042, EA and DICE received a plethora of feedback from players. Unfortunately, for most players, the first impression of this promising title turned out to be a rather negative take on what should be an amazing first-person shooter. Battlefield has been known as a top-tier game series with fantastic multiplayer, so the developers are aiming to maintain this reputation when the game fully releases on November 19th for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.

Probably the biggest news here is the reveal of five more Specialists, bringing the list up to ten. During the Open Beta they heard some feedback that Specialists were limiting teamwork, but this can be contributed to the perception of how the Specialists role contributes to squad play. To fix this, numerous improvements to the user interface, identifying between friend and foe, the ping system, and in-game team communication that were missing during the Open Beta are being implemented.

There is a lot of aspects being detailed by the team that is focusing on taking the feedback from the Open Beta and using it to improve the game prior to launch. While the Specialists are definitely a huge factor and big enough news it got a trailer announcement, there is a whole blog page that goes over everything they have worked on and are going to work on. The players have been heard and thanks to that, Battlefield 2042 is once again looking to be an exciting launch next month!
